Chiropractic treatment for Auto Injury

Chiropractic treatment for auto injury

Cervical acceleration-deceleration disorder (CAD), or whiplash, is a severe injury to the neck and upper back typically incurred by victims of auto accidents. To treat the debilitating pain and stiffness of whiplash, Synergy Family Health chiropractors offer several effective options, including cold laser therapy, massage therapy and corrective chiropractic care, to relieve whiplash stiffness and pain without surgery or the long-term use of addictive prescription pain medications.

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold laser therapy is a noninvasive chiropractic treatment that combines cold laser technology and electric stimulation to eliminate the inflammation and pain of injured soft tissues. Also called low-level laser therapy, cold laser therapy uses LED (light-emitting diodes) to change cellular processes within inflamed tissues and reduce levels of specific hormones implicated in inflammation and pain. Cold laser therapy also increases production of ADT, a chemical that facilitates growth of new cells directed towards fighting inflammation and naturally healing injured muscles.

Corrective Chiropractic Treatment

Spine and back trauma associated with automobile accident injuries prevent the body from functioning optimally as a whole unit. Our chiropractors are skilled in providing chiropractic manipulations techniques that reposition misaligned spinal vertebrae, a condition frequently responsible for overall poor health. Spinal misalignments also occur for other reasons ranging from improper lifting and job accidents to poor posture and sedentary lifestyles. Synergy Family Health chiropractors can diagnose and treat spine conditions using chiropractice medicine after obtaining an extensive medical history from the patient, performing a physical examination and ordering laboratory tests, including an MRI, if necessary.

Massage Therapy

Normalizing the biomechanical properties of the musculoskeletal system through chiropractic massage therapy helps restore joint stability by pumping out waste and excess fluids and improving blood flow to spinal vertebrae and discs. In addition, therapeutic manipulation of muscles, ligaments and correlating tissues accelerates the body's natural healing process by stimulating motor and sensory reflexes to increase the circulation of nutritional fluids throughout the spine and soft tissues. Muscle pain and stiffness responds well to massage therapy while restoring quality of life to our patients.
